  2. Payment Processing: All electronic payments are securely processed via Square, a trusted third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card details; Square handles this directly.

  3. Data Retention: We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to complete your service and maintain our records.

Refund Policy

At M&K Mowing & Cleaning Services, we do not offer refunds once a service has been completed, as services are provided based on your request and tailored to your needs.

However, if you are dissatisfied with the work provided and believe that the service was not performed with due care and skill, we will repair or redo the work at no additional charge within a reasonable timeframe.

Please contact us within 7 days of the service completion to request a remedy, and we will promptly address the issue.
 

Data Policy

We are committed to responsibly handling your personal data.

  1. Collection of Data: We collect only the personal data necessary to perform the services you request.

  2. Third-party Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except where required by law.

  3. Payment Processing: For cash payments, a credit note will be issued via Square, which marks the transaction as a "Cash Payment" along with details of the payer, date, and location.

  4. Data Security: We take appropriate measures to ensure your personal data is stored securely and is protected from unauthorized access.
     

Cancellation Policy

We request a minimum of 1-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you provide at least 1 hour's notice, no cancellation fee will be charged. However, cancellations made with less than 1 hour's notice may result in a charge to cover the allocated time and resources.
 

Media Consent

By booking our services, you agree that we may take photos or videos of your property, before and after the work is completed, for the following purposes:

  1. Usage of Media: These images and videos may be used for documenting our work, proof of service, and as part of our records. They may also be used for marketing materials, social media promotion, or our portfolio.

  2. Privacy Protection: We will ensure that photos and videos do not include personally identifiable information, such as your name, address, or likeness, unless explicit consent is provided.

  3. Opt-Out: If you do not wish for photos or videos to be shared for marketing or social media purposes, please notify us prior to the service. We will respect your privacy and will not share your images for those purposes. However, photos and videos will still be taken for the purpose of documenting the work performed.
     

Waste Disposal Fee Policy

We charge for waste disposal based on the type and volume of waste removed. This includes costs for transport, disposal, and materials like rubbish bags. These fees will be itemized in your final invoice, and you will be informed about potential charges before service begins.

Types of waste and associated charges include:

  • Green Waste: Organic materials (e.g., grass clippings, branches).

  • General Rubbish: Household waste.

  • Specialty Items: Appliances, electronics, or materials requiring specialized disposal.

If you have any questions regarding potential fees, please contact us before or during the service.
 

Animal Containment Policy

For the safety of both our team and your pets, we request that all animals, particularly dogs or any potentially aggressive animals, be securely contained before we arrive.

  • Secure Animals: Animals should be placed in a safe, enclosed area (e.g., inside your home or in a securely fenced-off section of the yard).

  • Failure to Contain: If we arrive at your property and animals are loose, we will be unable to perform the service until the animals are contained.

  • Aggressive Animals: Any aggressive or threatening animals must be kept away from the work area at all times.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in delays or rescheduling, with any additional costs due to waiting or rescheduling added to your final invoice.
 

Payment Terms

  1. Minimum Charge: All services are subject to a minimum charge of 1 hour. Payment is due within 24 hours after the service is completed, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

  2. Payment Processing: All payments are securely processed through Square, a trusted third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card details; Square handles this directly.

  3. Travel Fee: A travel fee of $0.50 per kilometer will apply to cover the distance from our base of operations to your location. This fee is added to your total service cost.

  4. Overdue Payments: Invoices overdue by 14 days will be sent to a collection agency or pursued through small claims court at our discretion.

  5. Overdue Payment Reminders: You will receive reminders for overdue invoices on the following schedule:

    • 1 day after the invoice is overdue

    • 3 days after the invoice is overdue

    • 7 days after the invoice is overdue

    • 13 days after the invoice is overdue
       
       

Pay in 4 Policy

We offer the Pay in 4 plan to make our services more accessible. You can choose from the following options:

  1. Afterpay: Afterpay is a third-party service that allows you to split your payment into four equal installments. You must comply with Afterpay's terms and conditions when using this service.

  2. In-House Pay in 4: We also offer an in-house payment plan, processed through Square. Payments will be split into four equal installments over two months. You will need to verify your identity through Square to use this option.

Important Notes: Failure to make timely payments may result in additional charges or the suspension of services. If payments remain overdue for 14 days, we may take legal action to recover the debt.
 

Deposit Policy

A deposit may be required upfront to confirm your booking, ensuring that we can allocate the necessary resources for your service.

  • Deposit Terms: Deposits are refundable if service is cancelled
     

By paying the deposit, you agree to these terms. Please contact us if you need clarification or have any questions.
 

Quotation and Estimate Policy

All quotes are based on the initial assessment of the job. The final cost may vary depending on the scope of the work, waste disposal requirements, or additional materials. The total amount will be confirmed in your final invoice.

  1. Required Information: You must provide a valid phone number and email address for service-related communication.

  2. Verification: We may need to verify your contact details. You agree to complete this verification promptly to avoid delays in service.

  3. Contact Information Form: You will be asked to provide your full name, phone number, email address, and service address.
